George Ray Hindman

Mr. George Hindman, of Macon, passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2018. A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 8, at 10 AM at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Reverend Baxter Hurley officiating. The family will greet friends on Sunday, October 7, from 3 PM to 5 PM, at Hart’s Mortuary, Cherry Street.

Mr. Hindman served in the United States Navy and was retired from the United States Post Office where he served as an accountant. He was a very committed and hard worker. He adored animals and had a strong love and commitment to his family. Mr. Hindman was very proud of his involvement with youth sports and loved helping kids, even those that weren’t his.

Mr. Hindman was predeceased by his wife, Linda Hindman; father, George Augustus Hindman; mother, Annie Sutton Hindman; and five siblings.

Mr. Hindman is survived by his, daughter, Amy Scott; son, Chris Hindman; granddaughters, Alex and Cheyenne Scott; sisters; Myrtle and Sally; and several nieces and nephews.
