George "Steve" Datz

George "Steve" Datz passed away peacefully on October 21, 2017. A Celebration Of Life will be held on November 4, 2017 from 4-6:00PM, with a reception for family members from 6-8:00PM at 2525 Stroud Road Jackson, GA 30233; casual attire. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army, 1955 Broadway Macon, GA 31206; Attn: the Corps Salvage Rehabilitation Center. Steve was predeceased by his father, Richard Ronald Datz SR. and mother, Joyce Houston Datz. Steve was a loving father and doting grandfather. He also enjoyed making people laugh. Steve is survived by his daughter, Stevie A. Datz; grandson, Joseph Walker; brother, Richard Datz JR.; sisters, Valerie Datz Gasgarth; Iris "Tina" Burns; Sabrina "Pepper" Short. Joseph, Steve's loving grandson, asked that we all remember this bible verse during this time: "Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again; Rejoice!
