George Cannon

George Cannon, 98, of Macon, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2025.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at 11:30 AM, at Daystar Church of God, 5874 Wesleyan Drive North, Macon, Georgia 31210. Reverend Robbie Shepherd will officiate. The family will greet friends for visitation after the service.  A private burial will be held at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to Daystar Church of God.

George was born on February 17, 1927, in Montrose, Georgia, to the late Thomas and Ruby Cannon. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force.  George operated Cannon and Son Landscaping for many years with his son, Randy.  He was a member of Daystar Church of God.  George loved his wife, Mrs. Sue, very much, and he loved his family.  He will be greatly missed.

George is survived by his wife of seventy-five years, Sue Manning Cannon; his children, Neil Cannon of Macon, Georgia, Randy Cannon (Nancy) of Bolingbroke, Georgia, and Melody Hamm (James Whaley) of Macon, Georgia; his two granddaughters, Danielle Gordon (Jamie) of Gray, Georgia and Suzanne Smith (Ronnie) of Macon, Georgia; three great-granddaughters, Kaitlyn Gordon, Megan Gordon, and Madison Gordon; brother, Thomas “Bud” Cannon of Fort Valley, Georgia; and sister, Betty Sue McDaniel. He is preceded in death by his parents; his grandson, Mack Cannon; his sister, Bernice Brown; and his brother, Bernard Cannon.
