George Brown

George Brown, 77, of Macon, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2022. The family will greet friends from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 8, 2022, at Hart’s at the Cupola followed by a memorial service at 5:00 pm at Hart's at the Cupola with the Reverend Jamie Callaway officiating.

George was born on April 28, 1944, in Elberton, Georgia to the late George I. Brown and Jenelle D. Brown. He was a graduate of Savannah High School. He was the owner of Brown Equipment Company and worked until the day he was diagnosed with cancer. George was an avid hunter, fisherman, and photographer. He loved taking walks at Amerson River Park, and he was a member of the Corvette Club of Middle Georgia.

George is survived by his wife of 51 years, Carlene Brown, of Macon, Georgia; daughter, Lisa Pope Campbell (Kevin Nolan), of Flowery Branch, Georgia; son, Chris Brown (Susan Koenig-Brown), of Macon, Georgia; grandchildren, Kendyl Campbell, of Denver, Colorado, Leighton Brown, of Macon, Georgia, and Alexandra Brown, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in George’s honor to Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon, Georgia 31210.
