Gary Scott Putnal was born December 31, 1952 in Albany, Georgia and passed away February 4, 2014. Funeral services will be at 11:00AM on Friday, February 7, 2014 at Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, with Robert S. Carey officiating. Family will greet friends following the service at the Cupola. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Macon, Georgia 31201.

Gary was a graduate from Lanier High School where he played basketball and football. He loved fishing and hunting. He was a master carpenter, artist, and was a manger of Dixie Land Plantation for ten years. He will be remembered for his wit and sense of humor. His favorite quote was "We can have a battle of wits, but I am afraid you are unarmed."

Gary was predeceased by his father, Stafford Putnal and brother, Stan Putnal. He is survived by his sons, Charlie Putnal, James Putnal, and Trisden Putnal; daughter, Shelby Putnal; mother, Mavis Putnal; sister, Zeta Rowntree (David); sister-in-law, Kay F. Putnal (Stan); brothers, Greg Putnal (Wade), Steve Putnal (Kay), and Rex Putnal (Gayle); many uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews, and lots of friends.
