Gary Jackson

Gary Thomas Jackson, 70, of Macon, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025. The family will greet friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at Hart’s at the Cupola. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, January 5, 2026, at Andersonville National Cemetery.

Gary was born on April 28, 1955, in Paris, Tennessee. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served his country during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he continued his career at Robins Air Force Base as a civilian employee, where he worked for many years and retired in 2016 as a senior logistics manager.

Gary loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was known for his great sense of humor and for always playing jokes on his co-workers, bringing laughter wherever he went. He will be fondly remembered for his service, dedication, and the joy he shared with family and friends.

Gary was preceded in death by his father, Guy Wiggins Jackson. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Denise Jackson of Macon; sons, Craig Kelley of Lafayette, Louisiana and Mark Kamens (Candice) of Macon; grandchildren: Isaiah Kelley, Christian Kelley, Memory Kelley, Dominique Kelley, Norman Kelley, Judith Kelley, Chelsea Kamens, Rececca Kamens, and one great grandchild on the way; mother, Julia “Liz” Thomas Jackson of Macon; brother, Edward Jackson (Adrianna) of Atlanta, Georgia; sisters, Debbie Mullis of Castle Hayne, North Carolina and Julia Lyles of Macon; and several nieces and nephews.
