Gary Neil Brown

Gary Neil Brown, age 66, passed away at home following several years of declining health.

Mr. Brown was born in Macon, GA to the late Ralph Washington Brown, Sr. and Hewlette Bridges Brown. He graduated from Lanier Senior High School and served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ralph Washington Brown, Jr.

Mr. Brown is survived by his sister, Diane Brown Smith of Dahlonega, GA; brother, Cyril Brown of Suches, GA; and nephews, Jason Smith of John’s Creek, GA, John-Michael Smith of Cumming, GA, and Myles Brown of Lilburn, GA; along with a host of cousins and numerous friends.

Mr. Brown will be remembered for his life-long devotion to his succession of canine pals, of which he was never without. He was also an accomplished guitarist who enjoyed endless hours playing his instruments.

The family would like to express special thanks to Ms. Heidi Schweibert, a friend to Mr. Brown for many years who has been especially caring and helpful in recent times. His life may be honored by making donations to an animal shelter or canine rescue organization of choice.

Burial will be private, and any services will be at some future date.
