Freddy Lee Ware

Freddy Lee Ware, 81, of Dry Branch, passed away on December 4, 2020. Freddy was born April 12, 1939 in Dry Branch, Georgia, the 13th child of the late Owen M. Ware Sr. and Ollie Cornelious Ware. Freddy received his education in the Twiggs County School System. He was a devoted employee of Tom’s Candy Company and Candy USA for over 30 years. He became the first African American Supervisor. Freddy was also an outstanding member of the community by offering a listening ear and helping hand.

Survivors include his devoted wife, Ella Mae Gaston Ware of 53 years; children, Anthony Gaston Ware, Cathy Huston Anderson (Glen), Gregory Bivins, Frederica Ware-Stewart (John), Victor Moore (Monica) and Elizabeth Glover Cobb who preceded him death; Goddaughter, Mary Parker Dixon (Roland); Grandchildren, Kametrius S Bond (TeRegie), Dornesha Anderson, Maya B Thomas (Courtney), Jah’Maal Ware, Jonathan Stewart, Madisyn Stewart, Victor X Moore, Victoria Moore, Maurice Cobb, and Brittany Cobb; Great grandchildren Tavione Bond, Mariya Mims, Joshua Milner Jr, Erin Thomas, Allanah Ware, Jamari Ware, Paryss Ware, Jaiden Ware, Ke’Zyia Wheeler, and Traven Wheeler; Sister Leila C Basley, Hattie Ware, Mable Marcus, and Martha Basley.
