Frankie A. Kitchens, 90, of Jones County, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2026. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 24, 2026, at Hart’s Mortuary, Jones County Chapel, with the Reverend Butch Mullis officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Middle Georgia Memory Gardens.
Son of the late Franklin Monroe Kitchens and Clara Hardie Kitchens, Frankie was born in Milledgeville, Georgia on July 10, 1936. He proudly served his country in the Army National Guard and later worked for Burns Brick Company for many years. In his free time, he enjoyed working in his yard and tinkering with small engines, always keeping busy with projects he loved.
Frankie was a longtime member of Greenwood Baptist Church, where his faith was an important part of his life. Of all the blessings he enjoyed, none brought him greater happiness than his grandchildren. He loved spending time with them, and the memories they created together will be forever cherished by those who knew and loved him.
Frankie is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Jacqueline Kitchens of Jones County; daughter, Cheryl Bentley of Georgetown, Kentucky; son, Donnie Kitchens (Tammy) of Ivey, Georgia; grandchildren: Donna Alsop (Corey), John Bentley (Courtnie), Joshua Kitchens (Steven McGinty), Cody Kitchens (Misty), Seth Kitchens (Madison), Miranda Sosebee (Nick), Angie Kitchens, and Cheyenne Brantley (DJ); and fifteen great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Frankie was preceded in death by his son, Randy Kitchens.
