Mr. Frank Wayne Taylor, of Macon, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2022. Mr. Taylor was born in Alturas, Florida on February 1, 1954, the son of the late Marvin Frank Taylor and Annie Pleasants Taylor.
He was a welder starting out in the shipyards in Mobile, Alabama. After a few years, he returned home to central Florida, where he continued working as a welder for several companies.
He had a passion for all things organic, whether it be food, soil or composting. He believed in taking care of the land and was big on recycling. He collected seeds from plants and flowers and liked to share them with friends and family. He had hot pepper seeds that started with his father and has kept them growing over the years and has a beautiful crop in the backyard. He enjoyed watching YouTube videos to learn new things and was quick to share his knowledge. If you were fortunate enough to know him, he was one of the most sincere, genuine people you could ever hope to meet.
For the past two years he lived in Macon helping care for his sister Kay.
Survivors include his sister, Kay Taylor Watson; niece, Connie (Chuck) Merrill; nephew, Tommy (Kim) Taylor; nephew, Roy (Diane) Vaughn; and several great nieces and nephews. Mr. Taylor is preceded in death by his brother Thomas Farrell Taylor.
The family will hold a memorial to be set at a future date.
