Frank Hawkins

Gray- Frank Hawkins, 74, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2011. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2011, at 11:00AM, in Cedar Ridge Cemetery in Jones County. Visitation will be held from 10:00AM until 11:00AM at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Central GA Chapter, 277 MLK Jr. Blvd, Suite 201, Macon, GA 31201 or the American Cancer Society, P.O. 4406, Macon, GA 31208. Mr. Hawkins loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He owned a dairy farm for 34 years and Cedar Creek Construction Company for 35 years. Mr. Hawkins was also a member of the Moose Club. He was preceded in death by his wife, Fay Wheeler Hawkins, and by his parents, Rosa May Hawkins and Millard Hunt Hawkins. Survivors: Daughter, Melanie Glover, and her fiancé, Randy Smith of Gray; Son, Frank "Buddy" (Karyn) Hawkins, Jr. of Gray; Grandchildren, Amy (Will) Hefner, Lee Glover, Heather (Jason) Fuerness, Kaylee Jacobs and Danny Mullis; Sister, Lida Harrington of Milledgeville; one niece and six nephews.
