Frank Braswell

Frank Braswell, 67, of Macon, Ga., died September 13, 2012. Mr. Braswell was born in Eastman, GA, on Aug. 27, 1945, the son of the late J. R. Braswell and Clarice Witherington Braswell. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Martha Evelyn Upchurch; children, Jonathan (Dana) Braswell of Savannah, Kelley Dozier of Jackson, Lanette Sosby (Timothy Sorrells, Jr.) of Macon, and Michelle (Charles) Ward; grandchildren, Ashley Denmark (Calen), Bentley, Camryn and Emory Braswell; Timothy Sorrells, III, and Maya Ward; and sister Linda Bohannon (Fred), nephew Robert Bohannon, and great niece, Skye Bohannon. Mr. Braswell retired from the insurance industry after 19 years with American Fidelity Assurance Company of Oklahoma. Before entering the insurance industry, Mr. Braswell taught at Dodge County High School and at Beckley County High School. Mr. Braswell graduated from University of GA ('63) and served his country during the Vietnam War. The family will receive friends at Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street, from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Monday, September 17, 2012. A Memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. in the Chapel.
