Frances Johnston Walker

Frances Johnston Walker passed away Saturday, September 30, 2017. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2017, 2:00 PM, at Riverside United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held one-hour prior in the Gathering Place of Riverside United Methodist Church. The Reverend Chip Strickland will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Riverside United Methodist Church, 735 Pierce Ave, Macon, GA 31204; Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Rd, Macon, GA 31210 or the charity of your choice. Mrs. Walker was born in Macon GA to the late John Bunyan Johnston and the late Mamie Champion. She was a long-time member and the secretary for 33 years of Cross Keys United Methodist Church, and more recently a member of Riverside United Methodist Church. She was also a charter member of the Shurlington Garden Club. Mrs. Walker was the wife of the late Calvin Moye Walker, Sr. She is survived by her son, Moye Walker (Jane) of Forsyth; her daughter, Beverly Walker McLendon (Hugh) of Winston-Salem N.C.; and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Mrs. Walker was predeceased by her siblings: Prentiss Johnston, James Johnston, Ruth Henderson, Myrtis Rogers, Sara Martin, Mary Tucker, Martha Melton and Roy Johnston. Hart's Mortuary and Crematory, Cherry Street, has charge of arrangements.
