Frances Ann Sires

Frances Ann Sires, 92, of Macon passed away, Wednesday, September 30, 2020. Funeral services will be Monday, October 5, 2020 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel at Hart’s at the Cupola with the Reverend Joe McDaniel officiating.

Ann was born July 16, 1928 to the late Fred Smith and Alma Blackwell Smith. She is survived by one daughter, Carol Davidson of Forsyth, Georgia; two sons, Richard  Sires, Jr. (Nancy) of Macon and Fred J. Sires;  five grandchildren, Mark Davidson (Amy) of Juliette, Georgia, Kim Ivey of Macon, Brandon Sires (Alden) of Hahira, Georgia, Bryan Sires (Cheyenne Timmons) of Valdosta, Georgia and Brianna Corbett (Mac) of Valdosta, Georgia; six great grandchildren, Ethan Davidson, Hunter Davidson, Emily Ivey, Anna Ivey, Smith Sires and Grey Sires. Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Sires, Sr.; two brothers, Kenneth Smith and Gene Smith.

Ann was a devout Christian woman and a member of Mabel White Memorial Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, tending to her garden, and babysitting her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Ann graduated from Jones County High School, where she played on the basketball team. She was a loving mother, grandmother great grandmother and friend; she will be missed by all who knew her.
