Frances Elizabeth Morrison Harvey

Frances Elizabeth Morrison Harvey, 106, died peacefully in her sleep and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 2, 2022.

Mrs. Harvey was born December 2, 1915, to the late John Griff and Bessie O’Neal Morrison in Macon and remained a lifelong resident. She was predeceased by her husband, James T. Harvey, her son Thomas Dean, two sisters, Addie Ruth Morrison Andrews and Johnny Morrison, and her nephew, Dr. John Ronald Andrews. Mrs. Harvey joined Cross Keys Baptist Church at age sixteen, and she played the piano and taught Sunday School to the Junior Girls there for many years. She joined Vineville Baptist Church in 1998 and remained an active member there. Mrs. Harvey served the Lord with gladness all her life. Mrs. Harvey lived most of her life in the house that she and her family built with their own hands, and she enjoyed many years there keeping house, taking care of her family, hosting delicious dinners, and working in her yard and garden. At age 92, she became a resident of Plantation Suites Baptist Village where she made many new friends, some of whom became family. She spent her last months with her family in Albany. She is survived by her niece, Annette Brown Andrews of Albany, Georgia; great-nephews and nieces, John R. Andrews, Jr. (Debbie) of Macon, Amber Andrews Hall (Chris) of Albany and Alana Brown Boehmer of Jacksonville, Florida; great-great nephew and nieces, John Andrews and Devin Andrews, both of Albany, and Meghan Boehmer and Emily Boehmer, both of Jacksonville; dear neighbors, the Yaughn family; and special friends, the Trieste Family (Josh, Christy, Betsy, and David) of Macon.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 7, 2022, at 2:00 at Hart’s Chapel on Cherry Street.  Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Macon, Georgia.
