Frances was born in Cumming, Georgia on January 26, 1917 to the late Hiram Ansel and Alberta Pearl (Mashburn) Kelley. Frances is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Dr. Edmund A. Brannen, and her sister Doris Hunnicutt. She is survived by her two daughters, Dianne Brannen and Wendie Brannen Reynolds (Charles); her beloved granddaughter Dr. Aamne Dianne Shalabi; and sister-in-law Nell Olliff (Frank). The family is particularly grateful for the devotion and loyalty of Frances' fulltime caregiver Ann Sorrow, as well as caregivers Faye Childs and Ellen Hill. Frances grew up in Gainesville, Georgia and graduated from Brenau College. She moved to Macon with her husband in 1948. Here she was a loyal member of her bridge club and an active member of Vineville United Methodist Church, visiting the sick and serving on the altar guild for many years. Frances always loved flowers and contributed her talents to many countless flower arrangements. Frances supported the Girl Scouts in middle Georgia, serving as a troop leader for three years and offering her garage each year as the cookie "warehouse." Her life was distinguished by her love and concern for her husband and family, and she dedicated herself fully to their care and wellbeing. Register online at www.hartsmort.com.
