Fay Tonnsen Wilhelm was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1923 and died in Macon, Georgia on Sunday, November 24, 2013. Funeral services will be at 6:00PM on Friday, November 29, 2013 at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer with the Reverend Dr. Jim C. Braswell officiating. The family will greet friends at 5:00PM, one hour prior to the service in the church fellowship hall. Burial will be in Arlington Park Cemetery in Greenfield, Wisconsin. She met her husband while studying at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at the Dental Hygiene School. She was a devoted military wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all. Mrs. Wilhelm was a longtime member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer congregation where she was a member of the "Crafty Ladies" quilting group in Macon, Georgia. Mrs. Wilhelm was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Dr. Carl Louis Wilhelm; parents, Trygve Elmer Tonnsen and Mona Walber Johnson Tonnsen; daughter, Judith Curl; sister, Ellen Odette; and niece Mona Tennesen. Survivors include her daughter, Janet Lundberg of Maryland; grandchildren, Scott Curl and wife Angie of West Virginia, Sandy Curl of Florida, Christopher Lundberg of Maryland, Todd Lundberg of Maryland, and Tammy Lundberg of Maryland; great grandchildren, Bradley Lundberg, Shannen Lundberg, Addison Curl, and Trenton Campbell.
