Fairy Rose Ross Rawlins

Fairy Rose Ross Rawlins, age 92, went home to be with her beloved Savior on June 24, 2023. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, July 1st, 2023, at Hart’s Chapel at the Cupola, with the Reverend Craig Holmes officiating.  The family will greet friends prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.   Interment will follow the service at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.

Ms. Rawlins was born in Macon to the late Williamson L. Ross, Sr. and Rosa Alberta Little Ross.  She was a housewife and longtime member of Gilead Baptist Church where she was active with the Lady’s Fellowship serving on the greeting card committee.  Ms. Rawlins was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, John Charles Rawlins; and brother, Williamson L. Ross, Jr.

She is survived by her sons, Kenneth Charles Rawlins (Jan) of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Kevin John Rawlins (Hope) of Brick, New Jersey, and Kerry Ross Rawlins (Cindy) of Rex, GA; six grandchildren, Brandon Rawlins, Joshua Rawlins, Rebecca Rawlins, Sarah Dimitruk (Brian), Amber Yeary (Matt), and Alicia Williams (James) and 6 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Missionary Fund at Gilead Baptist Church, 4800 Ivey Drive, Macon, GA 31206.
