Evelyn Glenn Richardson

November 3, 1931 — June 7, 2025

Macon

Evelyn Glenn Richardson, known as ”Midge” to her friends, passed into Heaven on June 7, 2025.  She was born November 3, 1931, in Opp, Alabama to the late Thomas and Lillie Richardson.  She grew up in Kinston, Alabama.

Midge became a registered nurse and specialized in the operating room.  She enlisted in the United States Air Force as a Second Lieutenant and served her country for 23 years and 9 months.  During that time, Midge was stationed in England, the Philippines, and several bases across the United States. She presided over as many as twenty-one operating rooms and retired as a full Colonel.

After retirement, Midge settled in Fort Walton, Florida where she loved being on the water and looked forward to scalloping season every year.  She was a badass golfer and her wins were legendary.

She later moved to Macon in 2011 to be close to family.  Her quick smile, sparkling blue eyes, and easy-going manner made midge a favorite of anyone she met.

She will be laid to rest at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville, Georgia with full military honors.

Will she be missed?    “You bet cha!”
