Evelyn G. "Nanny" Dukes

Cochran, GA- Evelyn G. "Nanny" Dukes, 88, of 478 Georgia Highway 87, North, died Saturday, January 17, 2009. Services will be held Thursday, January 22, 2009 at 3:00PM in the Chapel of Hart's Mortuary on Cherry Street with the Reverends Jesse Richardson and Lee Griffin officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. The family will greet friends at Hart's Mortuary on Cherry Street on Wednesday from 6:00PM until 8:00PM. Mrs. Dukes, wife of the late L. M. Dukes, was a member of Parkview Baptist Church. She was a member of Payne City Women's Club and served on City Council in Payne City. Mrs. Dukes is survived by her children, Cheryl Mullis (Donnie) of Cochran, David Griffin (Mickie) of Macon and Jody Carter (Terry) of Cochran; grandchildren, Shane (Jennifer), Dusty, Lee (Nicole), Greg, Whitney, Zachery and Mickensey; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Colby and Cason; brother, Herschel E.
