Evelyn Louise Comer Vandiver

Macon- Evelyn Louise Comer Vandiver, 92, of Ashburn, VA., departed this life on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at her home surrounded by her family. She was an honor graduate of Georgia College, an avid reader, a member of Wesleyan Drive Baptist Church, a member of the Garden Club, a member of the Clinton Historical Society and a charter member of the Opera Guild. Mrs. Vandiver was predeceased by her husband, long time Macon attorney and former state legislator, W. Horace Vandiver. She is survived by her three beloved daughters, Mary Anne Kelley (Paul) of Macon, GA., Virginia E. Vandiver of Ashburn, VA and Debra S. Naftal (Bob) of Ashburn, VA., as well as four loving grandchildren, Jessica, Michael, Morgan and Ethan. She is also survived by her sister, Anne C. Herko of Milledgeville, GA. She lived as a Christian and as a Christian died. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at 11:00 AM in Macon Memorial Park. The Reverend Jimmy R. Woods will officiate.
