Evan Lee Shaffer

Evan Lee Shaffer, 13, of Macon, Georgia, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 25, 2026. Services will be held at 3:00pm, on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at Hart’s Mortuary at the Cupola, with Reverend David Garrett officiating. The family will greet friends for visitation following the service. A private graveside will be held at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.

Evan was born on May 3, 2013, in Covington, Georgia, to Taylor Marie Shaffer and Shane Lucus Shaffer. He attended Sonny Carter Elementary School and Howard Middle School. He loved riding dirt bikes and playing video games. Evan was a very caring, helpful, and considerate young man. He was a member of New Heights Church. Evan was loved by all and he will be greatly missed.

Evan is survived by his mother, Taylor Marie Shaffer of Macon; his father, Shane L. Shaffer of Macon; his sister, Avianna Lee Shaffer; his maternal grandmother, Jerri Lynn Davis, of Kokomo, Indiana; his paternal grandmother, Sheryl Shaffer of Jacksonville, Florida; his great-grandmother, Wanda Marie Grubbs of Centre, Alabama; his great-grandfather, Larry Grubbs of Macon; his aunt, Samantha Shaffer; and his uncles, Eric Hunter, and Steven Shaffer Jr. He is predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Steven Shaffer; his maternal grandfather, Stephen Hunter; and his uncle, Nathan Hunter.
