Eva Lundy Farrell

Macon- Eva Catherine Lundy Farrell, of Macon, passed away Saturday, January 22, 2011. A private service will be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2011, with Dr. David Hunter officiating. The family will greet friends following the service from 3:00PM until 5:00PM at Hart's Mortuary at the Cupola on Peake Road. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Central GA Chapter, 301 Mulberry Street-Suite 201, Macon, GA 31201. Mrs. Farrell was born June 29, 1928, in Macon, GA, to the late Carl Anderson and Eva Garner Lundy. She and her husband were members of Tabernacle Baptist Church where they were very active in "Young N Heart" Senior Ministry. Mrs. Farrell was a School Patrol Lady at Fort Hawkins Elementary and Alexander III Elementary. She was also a teacher's aide at Florence Bernd Elementary School. Mrs. Farrell was a volunteer at the Coliseum Hospital for many years, past president and charter member of the Police Officers Association Auxiliary and president of the Macon Police Women's School Patrol. She was a devoted, loving wife and mother and she will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, J.W. "Jake" Farrell, her sons, Randy and Mike Farrell and her granddaughter, Kim Farrell. Mrs. Farrell was also preceded in death by her brothers, C.A. Lundy and Harold Lundy.
