Etta Reese Tinker Sheffield

Etta Reese Tinker Sheffield, 83, of Macon, Georgia, died Sunday, February 7, 2016. Services will be held at Christ Church on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 11:00AM with the Reverend Bryan Hinson officiating. Burial will be in the cemetery at Christ Church. The family will greet friends on Thursday following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Christ Church, 582 Walnut Street, Macon, Georgia 31201 or to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Macon, Georgia 31201. Mrs. Sheffield was a member of Christ Church, the Morning Music Club, House and Garden Club, and Daughters of the King. A graduate of Vanderbilt University, Mrs. Sheffield earned her master's degree from Georgia State University. She was a learning disabilities teacher with the Bibb County School System and taught education at the master's level at Georgia College. Mrs. Sheffield is survived by her husband, Don Sheffield of Macon; son, Donald "Chuck" Sheffield, Jr. of Macon; daughter, Alice "Tina" Sheffield Kuncaitis of Macon; granddaughter, Alyssa Kuncaitis Walsh (Jackson) of Atlanta.
