Etta Mae Causey

September 28, 1932 — July 24, 2012

Etta Mae Causey (Nana), 79, of Macon, Georgia, died Tuesday, July 24, 2012. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 27, 2012 at 11:00AM at Pine Forest Baptist Church with The Reverend Jimmy Corbitt and Dr. Norm Yukers officiating. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday between 6:00-8:00PM at Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pine Forest Baptist Church Building Fund, 1848 Tucker Road, Macon, Georgia 31220, or United Hospice of Macon, 6060 Lakeside Commons Drive, Macon, Georgia 31210.

Mrs. Causey, born in Johnson County, Georgia, was the daughter of the late Ora Mae and Hazel Bedgood Curl. Mrs. Causey was married for 37 years to the late James Earl Causey, III. She was also predeceased by her grandson, Nicholas Sean Randall. She was a lifelong member of Pine Forest Baptist Church and earned the title of Longest Continuous Sunday School Member. She was an active member of the COD, Senior Adult Choir and Adult Choir and helped with Wednesday night suppers at Pine Forest Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling with the Senior Adults at Pine Forest and went on numerous youth choir tours as chaperone and cook.

Survivors include her children, Norma (Gene) Brantley, Barbara (Gordon) Randall, Wanda (Perry) Ragan, and James Causey all of Macon, Georgia; grandchildren, Cole (Angie) Brantley, Nicki Brantley both of Nashville, Tennessee, Kyle Ragan of Statesboro, Georgia, and Jamie (Tripp) Justice of Macon, Georgia; great grandchild, Jackson Lee Brantley of Nashville, Tennessee.

The family would like to thank the staff at The Oaks at Peake and United Hospice for their loving care and support.

Mama (Nana) will be greatly missed by her family and friends, but through the grace of God take comfort in the knowledge that she is at peace and has gone to her heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior.
