Etheren Katherine Ellis

Etheren Katherine Ellis, 85, of Macon, passed away October 25, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, October 27, 2017 at Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, Macon, Georgia 31210 with Dr. Bill Hardee and Reverend Michael Byrd officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 886 Mulberry St., Macon, GA 31201. Mrs. Ellis was a longtime, faithful member of Porterfield Baptist Church, where she worked in the church kitchen and cooked for the church for years. She also worked in the lunchroom in the Bibb County School System. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. Mrs. Ellis is predeceased by her husband, Daniel; daughter, Betty Lou Garner; parents, Willie and Eula Hilton; sisters, Billie Joe Moxley, Katie Talmadge and Sandra Crawley; brothers, Donnie, Willie Clyde, and Charlie Hilton. Mrs. Ellis is survived by her son, Bill Ellis (Pam); daughter, Linda Howell (Butch); grandchildren, Sandi Bowen, Bill Ellis, Christopher Coggins, Brandi Amerson, and Danny Howell; numerous great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews; sister, Jackie Floyd (Bill); brothers, Ricky Hilton (Cynthia), J.D.
