Ernest W. Wilson

Ernest W. Wilson of Macon, Georgia passed away Friday, September 12, 2008. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. in the Milner Baptist Church, Milner, Georgia. Entombment will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Camellia Mausoleum in Riverside Cemetery. Reverend Ben Taylor will officiate. Visitation will be held Monday from 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Mr. Wilson was the son of the late James Howell Wilson and Bessie Myrtle Wilson. He was a U.S. Navy veteran having served in World War II. He was retired from Robins Air Force Base, where he had worked for 54 years. He was a member of the Milner Baptist Church. He is predeceased by his brother, William Otis Wilson; sisters, Hazel Wilson, Helen Bolton, and a brother in law, James Wade. He is survived by his wife, Mildred Benefield Wilson of Macon; a son and daughter in law, Todd and Christie Wilson of Ft. Valley, Ga., sisters, Allene Wade and Carolyn Williams, both of Tucker, Ga.; Nephews, Howell Williams of Tucker, Ga., Craig Bolton of McLean, Virginia, and a niece, Susan Gilbert of Fayetteville, Ga. In Lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the Milner Baptist Church, Milner, Ga. Hart's Mortuary and Crematory, Cherry St. has charge of arrangements.
