Dr. Ernest Joseph Saloom

Ernest Saloom died at the age of 91 on Friday, February 8, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 11, 2013 at Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, with the Reverend John Wood officiating. Burial will be at Macon Memorial Park. Dr. Saloom was a graduate of Mercer University and of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He preached at Tabernacle Baptist Church, Faith Baptist Temple, and Vineville Christian Towers. Dr. Saloom owned and operated Ernest Saloom Academy. He was a pastor, counselor, and teacher for over 60 years. He loved watching sports, especially Braves baseball and UGA football. Dr. Saloom is survived by a son, Lindell Saloom (Sharon) of Macon; and a daughter, Rachel Saloom (Aaron Kall) of Atlanta. Register online at www.hartsmort.com.
