Ernest Jones Jackson

Mr. Ernest Jones Jackson, 75, of Round Oak, passed away Sunday, April 18, 2021.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 1:00PM at Hart’s Jones County Chapel with the Reverend Doctor Greg Thompson officiating.  Interment will follow the service at the Sunshine United Methodist Church Cemetery in Jones County.  The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Jackson was a U.S. Navy Seabees veteran who served in Vietnam.  He was also the co-owner of Jackson Brothers Auto Parts and Garage for 50 years.

Mr. Jackson is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara Ann Skipper; son, Brian Jackson (Kim), of Round Oak; daughter, Staci Kimsey (Chris), of Round Oak; beloved grandsons, Jesse Kimsey and Nick Jackson; brothers, Larry Jackson and Rodney Jackson (Kathy); mother-in-law, Jewel Baker; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.  He is preceded in death by his father, Ernest Elmo Jackson; mother, Emily Jones Jackson, brother, Jerry Jackson, and nephew, Joseph Jackson.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Sunshine UMC Cemetery Fund.
