Ernest Redd III, of Macon died Saturday, September 25, 2010. A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at Christ Church with the Reverend Harriette Simmons officiating. Burial will be private at Riverside Cemetery. The family will greet friends following the service at Christ Church.
Mr. Redd was a member of Christ Church. He attended Graham-Eckes Preparatory School in Palm Beach, Florida, the University of Miami, and the Parsons School of Design in New York City. He was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity. Mr. Redd was an interior designer for over 38 years. He traveled extensively to England, France, Germany and Switzerland. His hobbies included boating, ice skating and traveling. Mr. Redd was predeceased by his wife, Carolyn Krekell Redd, and his parents, Ernest Redd, Jr. and Marjorie Alexander Redd.
Mr. Redd is survived by his sister, Marjorie R. Dunson of Atlantic Beach, Florida; niece, Ann J. Newell and her husband Burgess of Montgomery, Alabama; great niece; Hadley Haugabook and her husband Cheney; a great great niece, Virginia Haugabook; three step-children, Susan Gale and her husband Steve Ruppenthal of Albany, NY, Linda Gale and her husband, Andrew Burgess of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Raymond Gale and his wife Janelle of San Mateo, California; and five step-grandchildren.
