Eric Michael Lipson

Eric Michael Lipson, 68, died Monday March 14, 2011. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at 11:00am at Rose Hill Cemetery. Rabbi Rachel Bat-Or will officiate. Eric was born and raised in Macon. After graduating from Lanier High School, he attended The University of Georgia in the School of Landscape Architecture and was a member of the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity. Eric enlisted in the Army as a member of the Nike Hercules Missile Division. After completing his tour of duty, he returned to Macon and joined the family business, Lipson Fabrics. For over 40 years, Eric serviced the Middle Georgia and surrounding areas. Eric was a member of both Temple Beth Israel and the Congregation Sha'arey Israel. Eric is the son of the late David and Arlene Sacks Lipson and is survived by his wife, Chana Lipson of Macon; former wife of 39 years, Sivia S. Lipson of Macon; daughter, Stephanie Lipson Stein (Bernardo) of Clearwater, Florida; son, Marc Lipson (Meredith) of Macon; daughter Jennifer Lipson Koplin (Chip) of Macon; six grandchildren, Elliot Stein, Arlyn Stein of Clearwater, Florida; Anna Lipson, Jack Lipson, Alex Koplin, and Sarah Koplin, all of Macon; Sister, Anne Lipson Grossman of Marietta, GA; nieces and nephews.
