Emogene "Granny Jean" Martin

Emogene Metts "Granny Jean" Martin: 74, of Lizella, Georgia passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2014. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 5, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Hart's Mortuary at the Cupola. The family will greet friends following the service. Born in Alapaha, Georgia, She was the daughter of the late Otis and Blannie Harper Metts. She was predeceased by her brother, Autry Metts and two sisters, Thelma Klages and Elsie Metts Crawley. After 30 plus years, she was a retired secretary to the Dean of Students at Macon State College. She was a loving caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother and cared for everyone as family. She was known as "Granny Jean" and was loved by everyone who knew her. She is survived by her sons, Jim Martin (Cindy) of Orlando, Florida; Jon Martin(Margie) of Macon, Ga.; Jeff Martin (Connie) of Lizella, Georgia. Grandchildren; Ryan Martin, Casey Martin, Bryce and Taylor-Anne Martin and 3 Great Grandchildren. Sisters, Latrelle Heath of Alapaha, Ga. and Sandra Bock of Midland, Ga.
