Emily Bernice White

Emily Bernice White, 82, of Macon, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2024.  She was born on March 21, 1942, in Alexandria, Louisiana. Emily married Arnold Dale White in Spartanburg, South Carolina.  She and her husband made their home in several cities, such as Gulfport, Mississippi; and Norfolk, Virginia.  Emily was a proud Navy wife for over thirty-three years.

Emily and her family moved to Macon in 1972.  After raising her children, she went to work at Brown and Williamson at its inception. Some of Emily’s hobbies included growing and nurturing her flowers. Their growth and blooms brought her much joy.  She also loved to travel to the beach and or taking a cruise.  She loved her family, and she will be greatly missed.

Emily is survived by her son, Kevin White of Macon; her daughter; and her grandson, Weston “Brigg” White.  She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, A.D. Gillispie.

Emily will be laid to rest next to her husband in Arlington National Cemetery in the spring of 2025.
