Emily Ruth Rocker O'Neal, affectionately called "Gra", went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 15, 2012. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at 11:00AM at Ingleside Baptist Church with burial in Riverside Cemetery. Dr. Mark Hudgins will officiate. Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Ingleside Baptist Church, Missions Fund, 834 Wimbish Road, Macon, Georgia 31210. Emily was born to the late John T. and Pearl Rocker and lived in Crawfordville, Georgia most of her young life. She graduated from A.S.I. (Alexander Stephens Institute) where she played basketball and won State Championship in 1941. Emily was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Bennett O'Neal and her grandson, Shane Wells. Most of her working life, she was employed as a title clerk and bookkeeper. Emily was a member of Ingleside Baptist Church for more than fifty years and taught the five-year old Sunday School class for many years. Her "children" were special in her heart. She was a member of the Mary Martha Sunday School Class. Her love for people, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was evident in her daily life. She loved "her little house" and made everyone welcome to her home. She enjoyed cooking for the family, sewing, working in her yard with flowers, flower arranging and writing notes to all of her friends. Her loving, sweet hugs, kisses and smiles will always be remembered by those who loved her. Emily is survived by three children: Stevonne (Gary) Wells of Macon, Georgia, Steve (Donna Leigh) Agee of Buford, Georgia and Laura (Paul) Love of Valdosta, Georgia; grandchildren, Deidre (Billy) Green, Christi (Wes) Pyles, Bo Love, Ben (Jessie)Agee, Beth Agee and Tim Agee; great-grandchildren, Brooke Green and Ethan Pyles; brother, Hubert "Bo" (Wynelle) Rocker of Roswell, Georgia; sister-in-law, Mrs. Bobby Rocker of Crawfordville, Georgia. There are numerous nieces and nephews. The family of Emily O'Neal would like to thank her three "Angels" that cared for her, Ruby Card, Wanda Green and Gloria Ussery. The family will forever be grateful for the loving care that she received. The family would also like to thank Pine Pointe Hospice for their attentive care and compassion.
