ELSIE HART LOVE, 67, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, September 6, 2008 at her home in Germantown, Tennessee.She was born in Macon, Georgia, the daughter of Buster and Bessie Hart, and had been a member of the Memphis community for many years. Elsie was a sustaining member of the Junior League of Memphis. She was also a member of the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America and the Junior League Garden Club. Elsie enjoyed playing bridge with her dear friends and retreating to her beloved mountains in Cashiers, North Carolina. She was a supporter of The Dixon Gallery and Gardens, the IRIS Orchestra and the Memphis Symphony. But above all other things, Elsie was devoted to her children and to The Episcopal Church. As a lay reader, she read regularly (and beautifully) at church services and has served as a Lay Eucharistic Minister. She is survived by her husband of 25 years, George Thomas Love III and her children, William P. Simmons III and Elsie Grace Simmons. Services for Elsie will be held at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Collierville, Tennessee at 3 p.m. on Thursday, September 11. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be made to St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Collierville or to the Monastery of St. Clare, Memphis. Memphis Funeral Home Poplar 901-725-0100
