Elsie Marie Gebara

Macon-Elsie Marie Gebara, 85, died Tuesday August 24, 2010 at her residence. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday August 28, 2010, at 11:00AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. The family will greet friends in the Knights of Columbus Hall at the church prior to the services beginning at 9:30AM. Burial will be private. Mrs. Gebara was preceded in death by her husband, Charles S. Gebara and her parents, William Walter and Jessie Gordon Smith. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and was the former co-owner of Five Points Supermarket. Survivors include her daughters, Marianna Gebara, Charlotte Gebara and Lucy (Steve) Smith of Macon and Marie (Johnny) Edwards of Round Oak; siblings, Mary Kelly of Macon, Betty Giles of Fort Valley; granddaughters, Anna Beth and Susan Smith. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made the Macon Area Habitat for Humanity, 690 Holt Ave., Macon, GA 31204. Hart's Mortuary and Crematory, Cherry Street, has charge of arrangements.
