Elmeda Armstong Lee , 67, of Macon, born in Browns Crossroads Community in Henry County, Alabama November 27, 1942, was reared in Dothan, Alabama. Visitation will be held on Monday , March 8 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the Funeral services held on Monday, March 8, 2010 at Harts at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, which will be held at 11:00 AM , with the Elder Dan Bryant officiating. Visitation will also be held Tuesday March 9, 2010 at Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, GA from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM. Burial will be on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Friendship Cemetery in Donalsonville, Ga. Mrs. Lee was predeceased by her parents, Edna Herring Armstrong and Floyd Eugene Armstrong, her brother Floyd Hodges Armstrong and her first husband, James Carlton Parish. She is survived by her husband of 43 years Chester W. Lee, her sons Bryan L. Parish (Margie) and Brandon A. Lee (Vickie), her grandsons Brandon and Matthew Parish and granddaughter Allison Lee, her mother in law Louise Lee, sister in law and brother in law Sharla and Jim Shults. Mrs. Lee graduated magna cum laude from Troy State University and earned her Masters in chemistry . She taught science in Bainbridge, Ga. She and her husband moved to Macon in 1981 and she managed their insurance office until they both retired. She attended Grace Primitive Baptist Church in Macon and was a member of New Prospect Primitive Baptist Church in Henry County, Alabama. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either New Prospect Primitive Baptist Church, 108 Carimar Place, Headland, Alabama 36345 in care of Elder Jim Dixon or Grace Primitive Baptist Church, 272 Sandpiper Lane, Byron, Ga. 31008 in care of Larry Wiggins. Harts Mortuary at the Cupola in Macon, and Evans- Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, Ga. has charge of arrangements. Click here to view photos of floral tributes.
