Ella Jenkins, 18, of Gray, Georgia, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2026. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Gray, 134 West Clinton Street, Gray, Georgia, with the Reverends Matt Price, John Mark Cooling, and Marshall Trisler officiating. Burial will follow at Elam Memorial Gardens, 203 Elam Church Road, Gray, Georgia. The family will greet friends on Friday evening, October 2, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at Hart’s Mortuary, Jones County Chapel.
Ella was born August 12, 2008, to Jason Jenkins and Ginger Bacon Jenkins. Ella was a 2026 graduate of Jones County High School where she excelled in not only academics but softball as well. She went on to continue her education and softball career at Brewton-Parker Christian University where she was studying occupational therapy. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and she loved to shop. Ella also loved playing with her fur-babies, “Jax” and “Sophie”.
Ella was a bright and shining light, and she would light up any room she walked into. She had a kind and compassionate spirit with a magnetic personality. This drew so many people to her. To know Ella was to love her. Her memory will continue to shine brightly. She will be greatly missed.
Ella is survived by her parents, Jason and Ginger Jenkins of Gray, Georgia; her sister, Kalyn Jenkins; her grandparents, Lynne and Billy Bacon, of Dexter, Georgia; her grandmother, Grace Banister, of Byron, Georgia; her aunt, Ashton Bacon Trisler (Marshall) of Clinton, Missouri; her uncles, Jerry Jenkins (Janel) of Fort Valley, Georgia, Johnny Jenkins (Malisa) of Lee County, Georgia; and Joey Jenkins (Aimee) of Tifton, Georgia; her many cousins; her boyfriend Kuper Knowles, and her many friends. She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Marvin Banister and uncle Joey Bacon.
