A simple woman of deep faith, Proverbs 31:10-30 is an apt description of her life of devotion to her husband and family: "She is worth far more than rubies. She is clothed with strength and dignity; She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her". Mrs. Jackson, a gentle, sweet and unassuming lady was deeply devoted to her family and friends. She was also exposed to much and was well-traveled due to her husband's USAF career and was long suffering at his side with little complaint during their many adventures, as in the time while touring Egypt, she had to be rescued from the interior of the Great Pyramid due to her claustrophobia. She had numerous such "interesting times" by her more adventuresome husband's side. But when asked about her travels, she remarked that she'd just rather have stayed home. Kind and caring to everyone she met, she was in turn, loved by all. She will be deeply missed and leaves behind her daughter Ginger Concepcion (Tom), sister Nadine, brother Alvin and a long list of nieces and nephews. As we say goodbye to this lovely lady, we are comforted by 2 Corinthians 5:8 "...to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord." "Tu Quoque Viator" Register online at www.hartsmort.com. Hart's Mortuary, Jones County Chapel, has charge of arrangements.
