Eleanor O. Lagowicz

Eleanor O. Lagowicz, 94, of Macon, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2020. Funeral services will be Sunday, August 16, 2020, at 4:00 PM at Hart’s at the Cupola. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Compassus Hospice, 1100 Northside Crossing, Macon, GA 31210.

Born in Coaldale, Pennsylvania to the late Arthur and Edna Oakes, Eleanor is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Thompson (Warren) of Fort Valley, Georgia, and Laurie Hodnett of Martinez, Georgia; grandson, Christopher Hodnett of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; nephews, Dennis Fitzpatrick (Jill) of Maui, Hawaii, and Brian Fitzpatrick (Debra) of Macon, Georgia; and niece, Rose Marie Durr (Buck) of Tamaqua, Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by husband, Stanley A. Lagowicz and her son-n-law, Keith Hodnett.

Eleanor retired from Robins Air Force Base where she worked as payroll clerk for many years. She loved working in her yard, cooking, and traveling.

The family is so grateful for the care and compassion she received from the staff of Compassus Hospice and Madison Heights at the Prado.
