Eileen "Jackie" Marion Scalzo

Eileen (Jackie) Marion Scalzo (nee Jackson) of Macon, died peacefully on Thursday, April 26, 2018. Born January 13, 1931 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, daughter of George and Catherine. After growing up in Pittsburgh, Jackie married Joseph (Joe) Scalzo on January 20, 1951. They celebrated 67 years of marriage this year; they were true partners. A devoted wife and mother, Jackie relished creating a loving household and raising her family. Until recently, Jackie was an active volunteer as a Pink Lady at Putnam General Hospital. Her hobbies included cooking; she made the world's best meatballs! An avid golfer, she gave her husband a run for his money and ego on the links. She also enjoyed reading, playing bridge, and socializing with family and friends. Jackie was a member of Christ Our King and Savior Catholic Church of Greensboro for many years prior to moving to Macon in 2017. In addition to her husband, Jackie is survived by children, Cheryl (Michael) Cheek, Joseph (Jean) Scalzo, Donna Haskins, and Terry (Becki) Scalzo; grandchildren, Megan Hicks, Christian MacKean, Erin Garrett, Mindy Grupe, Ryan Scalzo, Corey Haskins, Luke Scalzo and Tanner Scalzo; great-grandchildren, Chase Hicks, Jade MacKean, Addison Beck and Quinn Grupe.
