Edwin Mason Anderson

Juliette, GA- Edwin Mason Anderson, 55, of 142 Doe Run, died Friday, August 13, 2010. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2010 at 5:00PM in the Chapel of Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street, with Pastor Sam Loyd officiating. The family will greet friends at the residence following the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the University of Georgia Veterinary Teaching Hospital, c/o Kathy Bangle, Director of Veterinary External Affairs, 501 DW Brooks Drive, Athens, Georgia 30602 or to a charity of the donor's choice. Mr. Anderson, son of the late Mildred and Paul Anderson, was born on February 10, 1955 in Louisville, Kentucky. He was predeceased by his nephew, Christopher Gordon. Mr. Anderson graduated from Mercer University in 1977 with a degree in biology and art and attended graduate school in art at the University of Georgia. He was a master carpenter and a master craftsman and was a gifted potter, metal smith and woodworker. He was an avid fisherman. Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife of thirty-two years, Helen Anderson of Juliette; daughter, India Lee Patterson (Cody) of Athens, Georgia; son, James Paul Anderson of Juliette; sister, Paula Gordon of Conyers, Georgia; best friends, Bill Birdsong, Casper Fredrickson and Tommy Pilcher.
