Edward J. Dougherty

Edward J. Dougherty, of Macon, died Friday, April 10, 2015. Private services will be held at Andersonville National Cemetery, Andersonville, Georgia. The family will greet friends on Tuesday from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Hart's Mortuary, 765 Cherry Street. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to a hospice of the donor's choice. Mr. Dougherty was a member of Southside United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was a retired civil servant. Mr. Dougherty is survived by his wife, Lynn Y. Dougherty; children, Kevin Robert Dougherty, Thomas Edward Dougherty, and Jo Ellen Joyner, all of Macon; sister, Pat Urban of Frankfort, Illinois; six grandchildren.
