Edna Kate Chalkley Moore

Edna Kate Chalkley Moore, 70, of Morrow, GA, passed away at The Oaks at Peake Healthcare Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 22, 2009, at Hart's at the Cupola with the Reverend Leland Collins officiating. Burial will be at 1:00PM on Wednesday at the Georgia Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville. Visitation: one hour prior to the service at the Cupola. The family may be contacted at 4412 Jeffersonville Road, the residence of Evelyn and Jody Wilson.

Edna retired from Civil Service in 1994 after 35 years of service. Along with her husband, who was in the military, she spent time in Alaska, Savannah, and Europe.

Edna is survived by her husband of 38 years, Denny Moore; 2 sisters, Evelyn Wilson (Jody), and Juanita Roberts ( Wilbur); brother, Thomas Chalkley; and a great many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews all over the state.

The family would like to thank her niece, Renee Jiles, for all of her support over the past several months.
