Edna Saloom Assad

Macon- Edna Saloom Assad, 87, of 684 Arlington Place, died Tuesday, August 9, 2011. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 10:00AM in the Chapel of Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street, with the Reverend Ernest Saloom officiating. The family will greet friends immediately following the funeral at the residence of John Assad, 1183 St. Andrews Drive. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the Joy Fund, Blair House, 684 Arlington Place, Macon, Georgia 31201. Mrs. Assad was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was an avid bridge player for more than fifty years. Mrs. Assad was an amazing chef and her Lebanese cuisine was exquisite. She loved traveling with her husband. Mrs. Assad is survived by her sons, John Assad and Joe Assad (Yvonne), both of Macon; daughter, Gloria Limbird (Rick) of Rhode Island; grandchildren, Tracy Assad, Kendra Lawler (Roger), Yve Assad, Edward Assad, Scheid Limbird, Jennifer L.
