Eddie Donald May

Macon-Eddie D. May, 71, died Sunday, February 20, 2011. Funeral services will be 11:00AM on Thursday, February 24, 2011 in the chapel of Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, with the Reverend Troy Dykes, and Dr. David Hunter officiating. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held between 6:00-8:00PM on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at the Cupola. Family may be contacted at 3561 Carroll Avenue. Eddie was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, NARFE, H2U, American Legion, and Theater Macon. He met regularly with the Whittle School Reunion Group. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a retired Civil Engineer at Robins Air Force Base. He was a part-time employee at Coleman Concessions.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Shirley W. May of Macon; children, Sam Hogan (Diane) of Macon, Daphyne Grimsley (John) of Alexander, VA, Judy Hopson (Bill) of Washington, PA, Marie Smith (Jake) of Macon, Kathy Harris of Moody, AL, and Ray Hogan (Durell) of Omaha, Nebraska; ten grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sister, Gloria Taylor of Macon; and several nieces and nephews.
