Early "Sonny" Coker

Early "Sonny" Coker, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2014. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 6, 2014 at 2:00PM at the Gray Church of Christ, 260 James St., Gray, Georgia 31032. Minister Lee Snow will be officiating. The burial will be in the Middle Georgia Memorial Garden, following the service. The family will greet friends Thursday from 6:00-8:00pm at Hart's Mortuary, Jones County Chapel and also one hour prior to the service on Friday . In lieu of flowers and food, donations may be made to the Gray Church of Christ, 260 James St., Gray, Georgia 31032. Mr. Coker was the son of the late Curtis Cecil Coker and Vera M. Green Coker. He was the former owner of Butler's Garage and worked part time for Ace Hardware for the past 12 years. He was a faithful member of the Gray Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Joann Coker; his son Travis Coker (Sheila) of Jones County, Georgia; Sisters Carolyn Wellons (Billy) of Unadilla, Georgia, Clara Abrams of Columbia, South Carolina, Mary Warren (Wallace) of Warrenton, Georgia and Abby Stevenson of Plains, Georgia and his brother Everett Coker of Moultrie, Georgia.
