Dwight H. Lee

Dwight Hinson Lee, 72, of Macon, Georgia, passed away on Friday, August 13, 2021.  A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, August 16, 2021 at Hart’s Mortuary on Cherry Street, with visitation following the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Vineville Baptist Church, at 2591 Vineville Avenue, Macon, Georgia 31204.

Mr. Lee was born in Brundige, Alabama, to the late D.P. and Lila Lee. He was a 1968 graduate of Brundige High School and retired from Flint Equipment Company as a John Deere heavy equipment sales representative. He loved spending his Saturdays watching the UGA Bulldogs and playing golf.  He was a member of Vineville Baptist Church, and the Ducks Unlimited Club.

Mr. Lee is survived by his wife of 35 years, Cheryl Lee of Macon; son, Patrick Lee, of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida; grandson, Nickolas Lee, of Palm Coast, Florida; daughter-in-law, Marina Lee, of Palm Coast, Florida, step-daughter, Julie Till (Cal), of Forsyth, Georgia; mother-in-law, Jewell Byrd, of Macon, Georgia; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dachshund, Prissy.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Sheppard; sister, and Sylvia Lee Pouncey.
