Douglas MacArthur "Mike" Burnam

Douglas MacArthur “Mike” Burnam, 81, of Lizella, Georgia, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2026. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at Hart’s at the Cupola. The family will greet friends following the service. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at Fair Haven Baptist Church Cemetery, 4280 Fair Haven Road in Eastman, Georgia.

Son of the late Robert Burnam and Katie Pearl Sandifer Burnam, Mike was born and raised in Rhine, Georgia before moving to Macon. He owned and operated Tires Inc. and was a longtime salesman for Raffield Tire. Over the years, he was part owner of Barrel House Barbecue in Lynchburg, TN, and also worked with LJL Truck Center in Jackson, Georgia, Tangent Chemical Company, and Global Transportation.

Mike is survived by his wife Lisa Burnam of Lizella, Georgia; son, Ricky Burnam of Macon, Georgia; daughters: Tamara Norton of Thomaston, Georgia, Brooke Clem of Peachtree City, Georgia, and Bonnie Bleu Mueller (Matthew) of Forsyth, Georgia; step-daughter, Cherann Buchanan of Forsyth, Georgia; grandchildren: Ashley Moore, Samantha DuPree, Josh Burnam, Memphis Burnam, 3 boys by Brooke, Austin Blake Mueller, Lindsey Kate Mueller, and Bennett Buchanan; great grandchild, Victor Moore; sister, Polly Wells of Pineview, Georgia; nieces: Beverly Bloodworth (Dennis) of Tifton, Georgia, Angela Felker of Florida, and Sheila Benoit (Mike) of Forsyth, Georgia.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his siblings, Edwin Evans, Bobby Evans, Ruth Powell, and Wootson Burnam.
