Dot Carswell Little

God in His infinite wisdom and mercy welcomed Dorothy C. Little, 84, into heaven. Dot left her Macon, GA home on June 13, 2023, surrounded by love from family within her home and love from neighboring friends outside her home.

Dot was born in Jeffersonville, GA on 12-16-1938 to the late John and Sara Carswell, their first and only (adored) baby girl. She was the big sister to John L. Carswell and Robert (Bob) Carswell and the last living sibling of her family. She missed them every day.

Dot fell in love and married her high school sweetheart, JW Little, at the young age of 18. JW and Dot set up house at UGA while JW got his college degree. Together they had 3 children: Jay was born a few years after the two were married followed by Laurie 2 years later. Sweet Sara was born 12 years behind her brother and sister and brought much joy and companionship to her mom. Dot was an excellent wife supporting JW in his career choices while she "ran" a beautiful and well-maintained home and family. Dot was a wonderful mother- teaching us to love the Lord and encouraging us to be involved in the arts, sports, clubs, etc. knowing that she was always our biggest fan and cheerleader.

Dot is immediately survived by JW Little, husband and still the love of her life. Her son, John Wayne (Jay) and wife Nancy Little and grandsons Jake Little and Luke Little. Laurie Little, daughter, and granddaughter Ramsy Rickerson and great-grandson Kaleb Fish. Wren Rickerson granddaughter and great-granddaughter Cali Collins. Sara Lynn Little, daughter, and greatest joy.

We are planning a celebration of Dot's life. We encourage all who were loved by Dot- from precious nieces and nephews; to precious next-door neighbors to attend. May the Lord bless and keep you all.
